Is Customizing the Shop Numbers on the Dokan Store Listing Page Effective?

How to Handle the Shop Number in the Dokan Store Listing Page

Before we get to the all-important part of customizing the store listing page, we need to know how customizing the page can benefit the users and whether or not it is effective or not-

1. Improves User Experience

Displaying too many shops at once can overwhelm users and make it harder to find relevant sellers. Limiting the number ensures a clean, easy-to-navigate interface.

Also showing fewer shops reduces page load time, particularly for users with slower internet connections or on mobile devices.

2. Enhances Search Functionality

Managing the number of shops displayed allows better integration with filters, search bars, and sorting options.

Users can focus on sellers most relevant to their interests.

3. Better Design and Layout

A well-organized store listing page looks more professional and visually appealing. Controlling the number of shops prevents clutter and maintains a consistent design.

4. Encourages Interaction with Pagination

Customizing the shops displayed per page encourages users to engage with pagination or infinite scroll.

This promotes interaction with the platform and increases the likelihood of users exploring more shops and it also the user experience of the site.

5. Boosts Marketplace Performance

Loading fewer shops reduces server load and increases marketplace performance. This is especially important for marketplaces with a large number of vendors. When your page loading time takes more than 3 seconds, you will lose the customer.

6. Aligns with Marketplace Goals

You might prioritize promoting featured stores or specific categories. Managing the number of shops lets you strategically highlight selected vendors.

It will not only boost your sales but also build trust amongst your customers. When they find better service and products, they will come back again and again to your marketplace.

7. Improves Mobile Responsiveness

On smaller screens, displaying too many shops can negatively impact usability. Handling the number of shops ensures that the design adapts well to mobile devices.

That way you will get more exposure and people will be able to buy products from anywhere in the world with any device.

Use this shortcode-

[dokan-stores per_page=5]

That means we are going to show 5 shops on the store listing page. If you want to show more or less, then you can change the number after “per-page=X”.

Hopefully, the guide will help you show the number of shops you want on the store listing page.

But make sure the number of shops you are showing doesn’t affect the design layout of your marketplace. It is better to show an even number of shops (2,4,6,8, etc) which evens out the design. Also, it looks better on the eyes as well.

Otherwise leaving a space open can affect the overall user experience.
