General Queries:

Is it multisite supported?

Dokan does not work with WordPress multisite setup, but you can utilize it on a single site within your multisite network. It means you need to keep the Dokan plugin deactivated from the network mode and activate it on the site where you want to use it.

Can the Admin control how much resource a specific vendor consumes?

Resource control for vendors is unavailable, which means vendors can utilize unlimited memory.

Which cryptocurrency payment gateway can be used with Dokan?

Any built-in cryptocurrency payment gateway support is unavailable in Dokan. However, there is a third-party plugin named “WooCommerce Bitcoin / AltCoin Payment Gateway” that could be utilized with Dokan as a non-adaptive payment method.

Which payment gateways are supported by Dokan?

Dokan supports two types of payment methods. One is adaptive, and the other is the non-adaptive payment method.

The Dokan Stripe Connect, Dokan Stripe Express, Dokan PayPal Marketplace, Dokan Mangopay, and Dokan Razorpay are adaptive payment gateways. Those payment gateways come as built-in modules with the Dokan Pro plugin. Except for the Dokan PayPal Marketplace, all adaptive payment gateways are available from the Dokan Pro - Professional plan. The Dokan PayPal Marketplace is available from the Dokan Pro - Business plan.

If an order is placed using an adaptive payment method, the vendor earnings and admin commission will be transferred automatically after the placement.

Dokan Stripe Express, Dokan PayPal Marketplace, Dokan Mangopay, and Dokan Razorpay have a disbursement feature that allows the admin to choose whether the earnings will be transferred after placing an order or later.

On the other hand, except for the aforementioned adaptive payment gateways, all WooCommerce-compatible payment gateways will work like a non-adaptive payment methods.

After placing an order using a non-adaptive payment gateway, the entire order amount will be held in the admin account. Vendors can see the value of their earnings from the Vendor Dashboard > Withdraw screen. Admin can set a minimum withdrawal limit for submitting a withdrawal request. When a vendor reaches that limit, they can send a withdrawal request to the admin. Then, the admin needs to transfer/send that amount to the respective vendor's account based on the request and mark the request as approved to adjust the vendor dashboard earnings value.

What kind of commissions can be set in Dokan?

You can set 3 different types of commissions, which are as follows: 

Percentage: Set a % of each sale for vendors 
Flat Rate: Set a fixed amount earned per sale
Combined (Pro): Combine a flat fee with a percentage for more control (Dokan Pro only).

All types of commission can be configured globally, per vendor, per category (Pro), and per product (Pro). More details can be found in the documentation.

Can the Vendor make changes to the shipping status of an Order/Product?

From Dokan Pro v3.2.4 onwards, Dokan introduced a new feature named Dokan Shipping Status that allows a vendor to create shipments and make changes based on the state of the shipment. This feature is also helpful for customers to track their orders. You can read more about the feature in the documentation.

Does Dokan have support for Affiliate Products?

Dokan Pro allows vendors to add External/Affiliate-type products, which will redirect customers to the Affiliate site. However, Dokan does not offer any affiliate functionalities at this moment. 

Is there any option for the Customers to contact the Vendor via WhatsApp?

Dokan Pro - Business plan offers multiple ways for customers to chat directly with sellers. This includes Whatsapp Live Chat, along with options like Facebook Messenger, TalkJS, and Tawk.to.

Is it possible to create staff under any vendor to manage the store?

With the Dokan Vendor Staff Manager module, it is possible to allow vendors to add multiple staff members to their store, where each staff member gets separate user IDs. It is a helpful feature if the store has a vast number of products and orders, giving the vendor the ability to take on a staff to help monitor the store's activities.

Why is an account created automatically when purchasing a subscription?

WooCommerce does not allow purchasing a subscription package without a registered account. So, when a subscription package is available on the registration page, at first, it creates an account for the user and then moves to the checkout page.

How many types of subscription renewals are there in Dokan?

Recurring: The recurring subscriptions are renewed every month/year or upon a defined number of days. For this auto-renewal to work, the marketplace will need an adaptive payment method for the process to be active seamlessly. Right now, Stripe Connect and PayPal Marketplace offer auto-renewal options with its adaptive payment method.

Non-Recurring: The non-recurring subscription will not be auto-renewed every month or year. So, it will only charge once and needs to be manually done every time a payment needs to be made. Other than Stripe Connect or PayPal Marketplace, the rest of the payment gateways on Dokan are non-adaptive/manual.

Can vendors add staff members to manage their store on Dokan?

Dokan's Vendor Staff Manager allows your vendors to create staff accounts and assign them specific permissions within your store. The feature is currently available only in Dokan Pro - Business and Enterprise plans. More details can be found in this documentation.

The marketplace will need a supported payment gateway for the auto-renewal process to work seamlessly. Currently, Dokan Stripe Connect, Dokan Stripe Express, and Dokan PayPal Marketplace have support for auto-renewal.

Non-Recurring: The non-recurring subscription will not be auto-renewed every month or year. It is a one-time purchase plan. If an admin configures a limited time in a subscription, a vendor needs to repurchase the subscription plan to continue. This type of subscription plan can be purchased using any payment method.

Do I need to purchase any additional plugins/extensions as a part of configuring my Multi-vendor Marketplace?

There are a total of 5 integrated modules that have third-party plugins/extensions dependencies for which you will need to purchase additional plugins/extensions -

The Dokan Auction Integration module requires the WooCommerce Simple Auction plugin.
The Dokan Elementor module requires Elementor and Elementor Pro plugins.
The Dokan Product Addon module requires the WooCommerce Product Addon plugin.
Dokan Product Subscription requires a WooCommerce Subscription plugin.
The Dokan Booking Integration module requires a WooCommerce Booking plugin.

Is there any additional cost involved in using the Live Chat module?

No, using the Dokan Live Chat module itself does not incur any additional cost. However, the choice of chat provider within the module can affect the cost:
- Three providers - Facebook Messenger, Tawk.to, and WhatsApp - are free to use.
- TalkJS is the only one that requires an additional fee.

Can I purchase the modules separately?

All modules are predefined with each package and can not be bought individually. However, two modules can be purchased separately for those who purchase any lower plan than the Dokan Pro - Business/Enterprise plan. The modules are the following:

Does the Dokan plugin support Multicurrency?

Dokan does support multiple currencies through its payment gateways, especially with the Dokan PayPal Marketplace module as well as Stripe Express which offers payment with Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Is it possible to upgrade the Yearly Starter plan to other plans?

Yes, you can upgrade from the starter yearly plan to other plans, such as the Dokan Pro - Professional, Business, and Enterprise Yearly packages from the Dokan.co Account > Subscription page. Find more details in the documentation.

Do you have a monthly subscription for the Dokan plugin?

Unfortunately, we do not offer a monthly subscription plan. Currently, we only offer yearly subscription plans.

What is 1 Hour of Theme Compatibility? What is 1 Hour of Basic Installation?

If your theme has an issue with the Dokan plugin layout, like store pages or any frontend design problems, we will guide you and sort the issue within 1 hour. If you need help with the installation process, we can assist you in the installation process as well as configuring the plugin. We will check the basic permalink setup and page settings as well as some basic admin settings. We’ll need you to share your admin credentials and FTP details in our support channel, and we’ll have your Dokan up and running for you.

Will I get Phone/Video Call support?

We do not provide Phone/Video Call support. For pre-sales inquiries, we encourage you to reach us via live chat, and for technical support, users can create a new topic on the WordPress.org forum. 

However, we provide technical assistance to our Dokan Pro customers through our ticketing system. 

Is there any way to use domain/subdomain as the Store URL?

You will be unable to use any subdomain as your vendor store URL, but the Admin can customize the store URL from the admin dashboard.  By default, the Store URL will look like this: https://[yoursite].com/[store]/[vendorstore]. 

The “yoursite” will be defined as per the domain name, while you can set the name to “store” and the vendor’s name or vendor store name will be automatically input in the “vendorstore” section.

Does the pricing include TAX?

All prices listed for the Dokan are excluding Tax. The tax amount is automatically calculated based on your region by our payment gateway.

Are the coupons usable only once or it will be auto-applied at the time of renewal?

Discounts are only applicable to the first purchase. You will be charged the full amount of the subscription plan for each renewal.

Does Dokan have a SAAS platform?

Yes, Dokan provides a Software as a Service (SAAS) platform enabling the creation of multi-vendor websites without any coding expertise required. For further details, feel free to explore our website: https://dokan.co/cloud/ 

What will happen If I don’t renew my license?

A renewed license is required if you want to continue using the premium features. Without renewal, you will lose access to all the premium features, updates, and support. Additionally, your outdated system may encounter problems.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription easily from your Dokan.co Account Dashboard. Navigate to Dokan.co Account > Subscriptions from here you can cancel your subscription.
