Dokan Year in Review 2025: What We Built, What We Achieved & What Comes Next

It has been an eventful year. Donald Trump is president again, there is a new pope, that infamous Coldplay moment, TikTok ban…, we hardly had time to keep track.

The Dokan team was quite busy as well. We made significant updates and added some innovative but necessary features to the most popular WordPress multivendor marketplace plugin.

You will be glad to know that this year Dokan has joined the AI revolution by adding AI Image Enhancer and Product Description generator feature. We have many more features related to AI in the pipeline.

After a fruitful year 2024, our main goal was to make Dokan the most complete multivendor marketplace solution with the power of AI. We are proud to say, we have achieved that.

In this write-up, we will be looking back on our achievements of 2025 as well as the challenges we faced and how we overcame them throughout the year.

Dokan Free: What We Shipped in 2025

  • Filter by Vendor Sub-orders: We added a “Filter by Vendor Sub-orders” option to the WooCommerce Orders page. This allows marketplace admins to quickly filter and identify orders generated by specific vendors.
  • React-based Admin Dashboard: Dokan Free now includes a new React-powered Admin Dashboard. It comes with improved metrics, rank boards, and a faster user experience.
  • AI-powered Product Content Auto-completion: We introduced AI-powered auto-completion for product titles, short descriptions, and long descriptions. This feature integrates with OpenAI and Gemini GPT models and allows users to choose their preferred AI provider.
  • WooCommerce Brand Support in Vendor Panel: Vendors can now assign brands to products directly from the Vendor Panel.
  • Dokan UI Component System: We introduced a new set of Dokan UI components, including buttons, links, badges, and alerts. Each component comes with success, warning, info, and danger variants, built using Tailwind utility classes.
  • WooCommerce-formatted Price Input Component: A new price input component was added, formatted according to WooCommerce settings. This ensures pricing consistency across the admin and vendor interfaces while reducing input errors.
  • Internal Error Handling with Analytics Integration: We implemented an internal React error component for better error handling.
  • Guided Admin Setup Panel: We added a multi-step setup guide for admins.This panel helps new marketplace owners configure Dokan properly from the start, reducing setup confusion and improving onboarding.
  • Vendor Analytics Integration: Vendor analytics are now integrated with the WooCommerce Analytics system. Admins can access richer data and insights without relying on third-party tools.

Dokan Pro: Powerful Features in 2025

Alongside Dokan Free, Dokan Pro received a major wave of feature upgrades focused on automation, analytics, vendor experience, payments, and AI.

  • Advanced Order Type Filtering: We expanded the “Filter by Order Type” dropdown to include Product Advertisement and Subscription orders.
  • TikTok Profile Integration: Vendors can now add their TikTok profile to their social settings. This helps vendors connect with customers on more platforms and strengthen their brand presence.
  • Weekly Email Digest for New Products: Instead of sending multiple emails, Dokan Pro now delivers a weekly email digest for “New Product Added” notifications.
  • Vendor Support Module: We introduced a Vendor Support Module with a centralized ticket system.
  • Auction Anti-Sniping Feature: To improve auction fairness, we added anti-sniping functionality with configurable time extensions.
  • Dokan Paystack Gateway: Dokan Pro now includes Dokan Paystack, a payment gateway built to support the African market.
  • Gateway Fee Tracking: Gateway fees are now stored in the dokan_vendor_balance table as debit entries.
  • Advanced Vendor Analytics: Vendor reports are now integrated with WooCommerce Analytics, including vendor-specific filters.
  • Pending Product Rejection: Admins can now reject pending products, adding another layer of control and quality assurance.

Apart from these, we’ve also released countless small updates that will offer a great user experience for both you and your customers.

wePos Year in review

In 2025, wePOS continued to mature with focused updates across both Lite and Pro versions. Over three releases each, we introduced key improvements around refunds, extensibility, performance, and compatibility.

wePOS Lite gained new Vue filter hooks, card payment refunds, and UI optimizations, while wePOS Pro focused on enhancing the frontend experience with order refunds and smoother customer management.

Both versions received High Performance Order Storage support, WordPress 6.7 compatibility, and a solid set of bug fixes to improve stability, receipts, search, and alerts.

WooCommerce Conversion Tracking: 2025 Year in Review

In 2025, WooCommerce Conversion Tracking received focused maintenance updates aimed at stability, compatibility, and long-term reliability.

Across two releases, we introduced a small but useful improvement to guide user feedback through the product roadmap, alongside several enhancements including WordPress 6.8.2 compatibility, updated Appsero SDK, improved plugin headers, and a refactored codebase using Mozart for safer dependency management.

A critical warning related to multiple plugin initializations was also resolved. Conversion Tracking Pro did not receive updates this year, as the focus remained on strengthening the Lite version’s foundation and compatibility.

In 2025, CartPulse Pro received focused updates aimed at improving reliability, user experience, and recovery accuracy. The goal was to refine core functionality while preparing the foundation for more advanced automation features in the future.

Across two releases, we shipped two enhancements and one critical bug fix. While no new standalone features were introduced this year, the updates addressed important behavioral improvements and stability issues that directly impact cart recovery performance.

One notable enhancement reduced the minimum cart abandonment detection time from 60 minutes to 10 minutes. We also resolved a critical issue by increasing the session_id length, preventing data truncation.

Looking ahead 2026 –

  • Automation rules management interface: Create custom rules such as sending a second email only if the first one is not opened or adding a discount code in a later reminder.
  • SMS notifications with Twilio integration: Send cart recovery reminders via SMS for higher visibility and faster response compared to email.
  • Abandoned cart support for auction and booking products: Extend cart recovery to auction items and booking-based products, including event and reservation workflows.
  • On-site purchase flow with license and subscription management: Purchase CartPulse Pro directly from the WordPress admin and manage subscriptions without leaving the dashboard.
  • Appsero SDK integration for telemetry and Pro licensing: Enable usage analytics to improve product decisions and support automatic license validation for Pro features.
