Dokan Year in Review 2024

It seems like yesterday we were wishing you a Happy New Year 2024, and now it is already time to wish you again. Not that we are complaining 😄.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025!!

It has been an eventful year. In one year we witnessed the Paris Olympics, Super Bowl, Crowdstrike, Hurricane Milton, Baltimore Bridge collapse, Aurora Australis, and of course, the return of Donald Trump as the new president of the USA.

Among these important events, we also passed a significant year. We have introduced a new platform called “Dokan Cloud“!!! Our first step towards changing the landscape of the SaaS eCommerce industry.

We didn’t forget about the Dokan multivendor marketplace plugin as well. Significant updates and features were made to the most popular WordPress multivendor marketplace plugin.

You will be glad to know that the Dokan plugin became the FIRST MULTIVENDOR solution with print-on-demand support.

In this write-up, we are going to look back at our achievements in 2024 and talk about what we can achieve in 2025 for both the Dokan Cloud and Dokan Multivendor Marketplace plugin.

Dokan Cloud Overview: A New Dawn in the eCommerce Era

This is a very special product for the entire Dokan team. We have planned to venture into the SaaS eCommerce world for quite some time.

We finally did it back in February when we launched the beta version of Dokan Cloud.

After successful beta testing, we went live with the sellable version in March 2024. Till now we had-

• 3300+ registered users
• 3700+ marketplaces build
• 500+ subscribed customers

This number is always growing.

The numbers are quite good considering the timeline.

The Start of 2024: A Year of Growth & Innovation

Dokan started its journey back in 2013. Gradually, we managed to take the top spot for WordPress multivendor marketplace plugins. Now in 2024, we have entered the SaaS eCommerce/marketplace industry with the aim of top spot.

We started the year with 80+ employees. Due to the continuous growth of Dokan, our team has gradually increased over the last 12 months.

We have two separate development teams for the Dokan plugin version and the Dokan Cloud version.

We will shed more light and also tell you about our plans for the year 2025.

We Have Added Some Great Features to Dokan Multivendor Plugin in 2024

For the Dokan development team, 2024 was a fruitful year in terms of adding new features. We have added some awesome features.

• Dashboard Menu Manager
• Product Q & A Module
• Free Shipping Coupon Feature
• Order Mark as Received by Customer
• Revamp of Min and Max Module
• Printful Integration
• Color Palette and more…

Dashboard Menu Manager: We added this new feature to the Dokan multivendor plugin at the start of the year. The menu manager feature will help marketplace owners customize the vendor dashboard and show the menu items they want. This feature gives more control to the marketplace owners regarding vendor dashboards.

Product Q & A Module: This is an extraordinary addition to the Dokan plugin ecosystem. With this Q & A module, customers can ask questions regarding any product admin, and vendors can answer them. These questions and their answers will be seen by other customers as well, increasing the trust factor.

Free Shipping Coupon Feature: This is an upgrade to the coupon feature. Now, admin and vendors can enable the free shipping coupon for their customers. This feature will increase the conversion rate and increase the total order number.

Order Mark as Received by Customer: This small but necessary feature was added to Dokan plugin to help the vendors and marketplace owners. Customers can mark their order as received to let the vendor know that they have received their order. This will increase the credibility of the marketplace and make sure every customer receives their order properly.

Revamp of Min and Max Module: We already had an amazing Min and Max module. But this year we have revamped it and made it more user-friendly and very very easy to setup.

Color Palette: We have also added some new and premium colors to the Color Scheme Customizer module of Dokan that will give the vendor dashboard a new look.

Apart from these, we’ve also released countless small updates that will offer a great user experience for both you and your customers.

Notable Features for Dokan Lite Version Were Released in 2024

In the free version, we have added some great features, like:

• New Commission Structure
• Admin can set a withdrawal charge for vendors
• WooCommerce Cart and Checkout Block support for Dokan Lite
• Added PHP 8.2 support
• Notification count support added for vendor dashboard
• Direct links to the relevant settings from the vendor progress bar added
• Compatibility with the Printful Integration Module.

Features and Modules for Dokan Pro, Released in 2024

Not only the Dokan lite version but we have added some features to the Dokan Pro version as well-

• The delivery time module now uses the website’s configured timezone for default date selection.
• Vendors can now add advertising products to the cart.
• Fixed errors with invalid vendor store location coordinates in Mapbox.
• Product QA creation time now supports translations.
• The verification email template supports the translation of verification methods.
• Category-based commission management is introduced in global settings and vendor settings.
• Rank Math Content AI visibility on Vendor Product Add/Edit Page now respects settings.
• Fixed issue with Admin coupon metadata overwriting REST API payload metadata.
• Vendors’ Stripe Express accounts remain connected during profile updates.
• The fixed Request Warranty button appears in the vendor subscription orders listing.
• The pickup location address now displays correctly when a store has only one location.
• Resolved fatal errors when batch updating product variations via REST API.
• Fixed PHP fatal errors related to null values in PHP 8.0 reset function.
• Vendor product add-on categories now align with subscription-level permissions.
• Improved error messages for order minimum/maximum restrictions in the cart.

By Solving Some Issues, The Plugin Has Become More Stable!!

Apart from adding new features, we also spent a big chunk of our time fixing the bugs you were facing and solved many of them.

Support has always been one of our prime focus. And our customers find it easy to notify us of any issues that they experienced with Dokan. As soon as we knew of any problems, we tried to fix them as fast as we could.

We also updated and wrote more than 200+ documentation to keep you updated on the products to help you keep up with the latest version.
